BPH Energy Ltd (BPH)

BPH Energy (previously BioPharmica Limited and then BPH Corporate) was formed in 2004 and is a listed company on the Australian Securities Exchange under code BPH.

BPH  has a 36% investment with Advent Energy Limited (Advent) which is an unlisted oil and gas exploration company. Advent holds a strong portfolio of exploration and near-term production assets throughout Australia. Advent’s cornerstone project lies off the coast of NSW in Petroleum Exploration Permit 11 (PEP11), and has been estimated to comprise up to  5.7 Tcf (at the Best Estimate Level) prospective recoverable gas resources.

The company is commercialising a portfolio of Australian biomedical technologies emerging from research by leading Universities, Medical Institutes and Hospitals across Australia. Targeting large global markets BPH provides product development and commercial direction, whilst the institutional partner provides the majority of the infrastructure and research expertise.

Molecular Discovery Systems (MDSystems)

Molecular Discovery Systems (MDSystems) objective is to be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and has been spun out of BPH Energy Limited [ASX: BPH].  MDSystems was launched in 2006 and the main business of the company since its launch has been drug discovery and the validation of biomarkers for disease, therapy and diagnostics.

Advent Energy Ltd

Advent Energy Limited (Advent) was formed in 2004 and is an unlisted oil and gas exploration and production company based in Perth, Western Australia.

Advent has assembled an attractive portfolio of assets both on and offshore Australia that have had an estimated $88 million spent on historic exploration. All permits are located next to a ready market and/or excellent infrastructure, thereby maximising Advent’s ability to optimise any resources.

Included in the portfolio is:

  • Petroleum Exploration Permit 11 (permit PEP11) in the offshore Sydney Basin. This permit has been assessed to contain up to 5.7 Tcf (P50 or ‘best estimate’ level) prospective recoverable gas resources adjacent to the major population region of Sydney and excellent port and power generation infrastructure.
  • Retention Lease 1 (RL1) in the Onshore Bonaparte Basin.
